Situated in the serene neighborhood of Jardins in São Paulo, this apartment was crafted to reflect the vibrant personality of its owner—a financial market executive seeking a space for both tranquility and entertainment.
Design Concept
The project began with a clear directive from the client: to infuse the apartment with a bold personality characterized by unconventional colors and materials. With this vision in mind, DT Estúdio set out to transform the 1970s-era, three-bedroom apartment into a contemporary haven that seamlessly blends warmth, vibrancy, and modernity.
Design Features
Central to the apartment’s design is the central island, serving as the heart of the home and housing the oven. This focal point not only enhances functionality but also fosters a sense of connectivity within the living space. To amplify natural light in the main living area, the laundry area was ingeniously converted into a cozy terrace, adding both charm and functionality to the space.
Aesthetic contrasts play a pivotal role in defining the apartment’s ambiance. A wooden panel was strategically incorporated to provide privacy to the bedrooms while creating a visually striking contrast against the surrounding concrete walls. Additionally, an industrial-inspired bookcase in the dining area adds character and serves as a nod to the apartment’s previous design.
Material Palette
The material palette is a carefully curated blend of warm and bold colors, wood, concrete, cement tiles, and black steel. These elements come together harmoniously to create a modern and inviting environment that exudes sophistication and style.
Architectural Elements
