Inspired by the awe-inspiring natural attributes of the region, the designers embarked on a journey to create a retreat that harmonizes with the untouched desert landscape. Purchasing a five-acre parcel of land, they envisioned The Landing House as a sanctuary nestled amidst iconic Joshua trees, natural boulder formations, and breathtaking views.
Eco-Humility in Design
The design concept of The Landing House revolves around eco-humility, ensuring that the structure seamlessly integrates with the landscape. With a low-profile volumetric scale of 9 feet, the house minimizes its visual impact on the surroundings, resembling a metaphoric fallen branch amidst the desert terrain.

Designed as a refuge for privacy and tranquility, The Landing House offers a unique vacation rental experience through Homestead Modern. Accessible via a private road flanked by Joshua trees, the house remains concealed behind a 9-foot-high horizontal wall, inviting guests into a world of serenity.

Blending natural materials with modern amenities, The Landing House features cedar wall paneling, polished concrete floors, and white oak furniture.
