Commissioned as a memorial for Padmaramji Kularia, the Nokha Village Community Centre serves as a beacon of hope for the 144 villages encompassed within the Nokha district. Design Features
The centerpiece of the complex is a sweeping curvilinear volume that embraces the site, culminating in a north-facing open courtyard. This dynamic form, spanning 9,000 square feet, seamlessly integrates recreational areas, a digital library, and a small museum, fostering social interaction and intellectual growth.
Sustainable Solutions
In response to the region’s extreme climate, the design incorporates passive cooling strategies, such as grass-covered earth berms and natural sandstone screens, to mitigate heat gain and create comfortable indoor environments.
