firm architekten undertook a significant expansion of the wellness area at Wellness Am Holand, aiming to double its size and introduce a range of indoor and outdoor attractions. The highlight of this expansion is an expansive outdoor infinity pool, creating an enchanting experience for guests.
Transformation into a Relaxation Haven
The former spa area underwent a complete transformation, evolving into a serene relaxation room. This space was meticulously designed to offer tranquility and showcase breathtaking views of the surrounding Austrian Alps’ mountain landscape. The interior features rough-cut oak flooring and loden textile panels on the ceiling, adding to the peaceful ambiance.
Harmonious Design Elements
To further enhance the calming atmosphere, the walls are adorned with Swiss pine and loden textiles, creating a harmonious blend of natural elements. The extension of the main building seamlessly incorporates the spa area, ensuring continuity in design and functionality.
Outdoor Attractions
The outdoor areas offer a range of experiences, from a Kneipp water-treading basin and a rain shower in the Easter outdoor section to the captivating infinity pool in the western area. These outdoor amenities complement the indoor facilities, providing guests with diverse options for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Interior Surprises
Inside the building, guests are greeted by a core of dark leveled walls housing showers, a sauna, a fireplace, and two infrared chairs. The use of bitumen terrazzo flooring with small aluminum sprinkles adds a touch of elegance to the interiors. The design encourages circulation around the core, offering varying levels and captivating views of the outdoors.
