Vision and Location
Designed by Neogenesis+Studi0261, the Nursing College Ashaktashram is situated within the Asakta Ashram Trust campus in Surat. As an extension to the existing facilities, the college aims to be a dynamic educational institution nurturing competent nursing professionals.
Thoughtful Layout
The layout of the college has been meticulously planned to cater to the needs of students and staff, fostering an environment conducive to learning and collaboration. The ground floor features a versatile auditorium accessible from both inside and outside the main building. On the first floor, administrative and teaching staff are accommodated, while the second floor houses classrooms and advanced labs. The third floor is dedicated to the library and computer lab, designed with open spaces and natural light.
Architectural Elements
The architectural design incorporates materials such as exposed concrete, glass, and brick jali on the exterior, creating a contemporary aesthetic. The brick lattice screen allows light and air to pass through while ensuring privacy and security. Planter spaces add greenery to the façade, enhancing the building’s visual appeal and climatic performance.
Interior Design
Inside, a blend of sophistication and functionality characterizes the interior spaces. Common areas feature Cera grey flooring, while labs exhibit kota flooring. Teak wood and grey laminate accents add warmth and personality to the design. Attention to detail ensures longevity and minimal maintenance of the materials chosen.
Creating a Welcoming Atmosphere
Landscaped outdoor areas, planter spaces, and artwork contribute to a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere. Art installations on common walls inject color and vibrancy into the space, elevating the overall ambiance.
